Professor Emily Maddigan is participating in "Breakdown," an exhibition of sculpture by artists working in a variety of traditional and non-traditional materials including balloons, synthetic hair, and tomatoes.
Other artists in the exhibit are: Matthew Alden Price, John Chwekun, Katie Martineau-Caron, Kristen Morgin, Thomas Muller, Julie Schustack, Christian Tedeschi.

Some of the works suggest the literal disintergration of the object, while other pieces challenge the conventions of sculpture.
The exhibit runs from January 24, through Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Chapman University's Guggenheim Gallery. The Guggenheim Gallery is a component of the Department of Art at the university.
The opening reception is February 8, 5:30 pm - 8 pm.
